Abington Township to Host FREE “Anything with a Plug” Recycling Collection Event Nov. 10, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Abington Township is excited to announce they will be holding a FREE electronic collection event at the Abington Public Works Facility located at 2201 Florey Lane in Abington. The event will take place on November 10, 2012 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and residents are encouraged to bring "anything with a plug" for recycling. All household electronics including computers, printers, microwaves, air-conditioners, metals and small appliances will be accepted. Now is a great time to responsibly recycle any unwanted electronic devices hanging around the house. Small business owners with less than 50 employees are also eligible to participate.

All material collected will be responsibly recycled by eForce Compliance, who maintains a zero landfill policy and zero export of hazardous e-waste to developing countries. eForce is Pennsylvania’s first multi-certified electronic recycling company (R2, e-Stewards, ISO 14011) and assures all data media will be destroyed or wiped at their facility.
